2004 May Day: With a Little Aloha

Our theme for 2004 was "With a Little ALOHA" and May 7th provided us with a beautiful day for it. Our kupuna continued the tradition of providing live music for many of the performances, and they led us in the chants and songs to open the program.
Our principal, Mr. Mew, gave a brief speech and introduced our special guests. Proud parents ringed the students, with many "kodak" moments being captured.

All of the grade levels performed, and the program was brought to a close with some students performing a hula on stage. “Aloha Isn’t Just A Word” was written in September 2003 by Kupuna Kahalelaukoa Alexander of the Windward District. All joined in a final song, "Aloha."

After the program, many parents stayed to have a picnic lunch with their children. The PTA planned a terrific Field Day activity for the afternoon.
